The SchoolCAD Community is a public forum for teachers. Everything posted here can be read by anyone and found through search engines, so write as you would in a staff meeting with visitors in the room.
Who can post
Teachers, school staff and pre-service teachers can post once their account is approved. Students can't register, and accounts that turn out to belong to students are removed. If you think a student has posted, please flag it.
Protect students
- Never post a student's full name, photo, email, username or anything else that identifies them.
- Only share student work if it can't identify the student and your school's policy allows it.
- Crop screenshots so class lists, names and email addresses aren't visible.
Asking good questions
- Search first. Your question may already have an accepted answer.
- Put the problem in the title, for example “Fillet fails on a curved edge” rather than “Help!”.
- Say which tool or preset you were using, what you expected, and what happened. Screenshots help.
- When someone solves it, mark their reply as the accepted answer so other teachers can find it.
Be respectful
Disagree with ideas, not people. No harassment, discrimination, spam or advertising. Sharing your own free teaching resources is welcome; selling them is not.
Moderation
Moderators may edit, move, close or remove posts that break these guidelines, and may suspend accounts. Use Flag on any post to ask a moderator to look at it. For anything urgent, email hello@schoolcad.com.
Bugs and support
Report bugs in Teacher Q&A with the tag bug. Anything involving student accounts or school data should go to hello@schoolcad.com, not the public forum.
